My tasks were to arrange and maintain the music library, to arrange music folders, to help kids learn proper technique by demonstration and critique, and to play the viola as the sole member of the class' viola section. Go violas!
I think this was a fantastic outlet for my musical talents, since I could help kids start to enjoy something that I enjoy so immensely. It was really rewarding to watch kids improve musically. I also learned a lot about how I play the viola, and know how to improve my own technique. TAing really helped improve my skills as a musician and a music teacher, and it also rewarded me with the opportunity to work with budding musicians. It was such a rewarding experience, and I would love to do it again!
