As a high school student, let me simplify my life: study, compete, sleep (as much as I can glean), eat, and occasionally—mutually interact with other souls. I am leaving out a lot, but my point is that I was (and still am to an irksome degree) self-centered. So I wanted to change this. And that is why I joined East Villagers.
Working in the EV office, I am focused on video editing. I am tech-savvy and I hope to use this skill to the advantage of our goals. For those who might be equivocal on the level of difficult of video editing—you are right. It is not hard. But it is tedious, and I am an amateur. I am getting better, and down the road, EV interns and members may favor sharing their experiences through high quality videos. It is all about getting the message around the world. Letting people know who we are and why we are. EV is making me more aware and concerned about world happenings. Change will happen, and for me, I hope to be the medium for this change!
Join us in not a struggle, but an enjoyable campaign to help people around the world. You can do it no matter how “busy” you are. It can’t get tougher than high school students. It can’t get tougher than your human heart and innate compassion for those who are suffering.
